How loud is a liquid cooler?

Do you have the stock fans on it? The included fans with Corsair AIOs are notorious for noise, they are designed for cooling performance over silence, it looks better on benchmarks :P

Try changing the fans out for Noctua NF-F12s, be-quiet silent wings, EK Vardars or even the Corsair SP120 quiet editions.

Alternatively you could try to just reduce the fan rpms using your motherboard fan headers or some other controller. Let me know if you need any help with that as well :)

It's defiantly not the default fans on these, I've stopped them both, and the main sound is coming from the "pump" or however you call it thats mounted on the CPU.

The fans on my kraken x31 are pretty quiet. The pump makes a clicking sound which annoys me though. I can't hear it when I've got anything playing through the speakers but I don't feel like it should be louder than the idling fans of the system.

I'm going to try a few a few fixes to get rid of it and if they don't work I'll have to decide whether to rma. My build was extremely compact and tricky at times. I really don't want to have to start from scratch!

Have you moved your case around, those pumps are notorious for getting air stuck in them and becoming loud.

So even though Ive got a fractal R5, the cooler still makes a tiny bit of noise..but I thought they were dead quiet.
Theres an app for the sound decibels..if that helps idk lol
Is this a new build?
If possible, return the CLC and to air. Define R5 will hold any air cooler. What cooler will fit depends on what motherboard and RAM you have. A good air cooler and a couple good front case fans with all case fans controlled by CPU and GPU heat / airflow demands makes a very quiet system.

Not new, had it for about 3months, its just I had to move the cooler due to not being able to put the sound dampensed top panels back in. Also had to mount the HDD on a drive cage..since no space to fit the HDD cage in lol

Where is radiator mounted?

If mounted in front and hoses are coming off the top you could be sucking air bubbles into pump .. and these make noise.

CLC should always be setup with radiator above pump and with hoses in the bottom. This way any air inside the system (and there is always some) will collect in to top radiator manifold and hopefully not move through system.

It was to begin with, but its the same noise before and after i moved it really. And I had to move it..or the vent panels can't go on..with the R5 define -.-

I'm not sure where you have it mounted. Both top and front have 'vent panels' Front are grill / filters, top are noise dampening plates removable so top vents can be used.

I'm assuming now the radiator is mounted in the top. But that's only a guess.

Ugh okay, They were mounted from the removeable 3x panels at the top of the case, But I coudn't weirdly put them back in. So now the radiator is at the front, where the openable door is

Okay,
What position are the hoses in/out of pump on the CPU? Up is best, next is to side with out on top of in.
Then about the only thing you can do to quiet down the pump is tip the case into different positions and try to make sure there is no air in it. Tip in onto left side, right side, front and back and see is sound changes. Hopefully going from one to another will move any air out of pump.
Might need to try different combinations of movement. Ideal is to move in a pattern that allows air to rise to the top of pump and out it's outflow hose.
