How many are using Windows 7 32?

Seems pretty short sighted to me though! But then i guess legacy support comes before having 8gb ram just to run Office.

Most pre-loaded PC's with less than 4GB ram come with 32-bit. I'd imagine the majority of custom PC's run 64-bit though

I only use the 32-bit version of Windows 7, because my netbook isn't 64-bit compatible - besides, it only has 2gb of RAM.

My university uses 32-bit. Simply because they have some really, really old software that won't work with 64-bit. Forced me to use XP mode just to use the software for my course

I got my laptop from the DELL business outlet, it came its 32 bit (so clearly someone had specced it for a business that wanted 32 bit).

It came with4gb +VRAM so I put in another 4gb stick and re installed with 64 bit

I'm seeing more and more OEM stuff coming with x64, even with < 4GB RAM.

The vast majority of overclockers members will be running x64 (or at least they should be!)

Oem keys are tied to motherboards a windows version i.e. 6.1 (w7) not build x86/x64. Doesn't that mean you can just download the windows 7x64 iso and install it?

I am stuck with Win 7 32bit at work, with it's 3Gb of RAM limit. I run into this limit every single day, which is massively frustrating!

At home it's all 64 bit and has been for many years.

I only use x64 now, family have bought laptops which I have wiped and installed a x64 version on since they all have at least 4GB of RAM.

Windows 7 x64 on desktop with 3 GB RAM and 1GB VRAM.
Windows 7 x32 on Netbook with 2GB.

The cast majority of business PCs that havent hit an upgrade cycle recently will have a 32bit OS I would have thought. On an overclockers forum I would guess the majority are on 64bit.

The stream hardware survey lists 14.57% of the computers that run the survey as running 32-bit windows 7. No idea how many that actually is, but its a surprisingly high number.
