How many artifacts?

Hey all

Just giving my card another overclock (X800XT-PE + VF900), but when i get to 585 on the memory, it reports 1 artifact...

I just would like to know if 1 artifact can actually do any damage? If not.. how many is bad?

Good question.

IMO 1 artifact means 1 artifact too many. Up volts by the minimum and u will be fine.

Erm... I think dropping the core down by 5mhz would be the safer option to volt modding the card :/

The op not wanting to damage the card i would say is a pretty good way of saying i want it "safe" operating please.

posting on an overclocking forum by default means taking risks unless otherwise stated. In my opinion. And since the OP is overclocking I don't see that taking risks is a problem unless stated otherwise.

Hard modding is not something to be taken on a whim though.

As said, drop the clocks back a bit, unless you are handy with a soldering iron.
