As per the title, how many cars have you owned including your current car? In my case it's 16 cars over the period of 7 years, rookie numbers, right? :p

Here's my list, mostly in the chronological order of ownership.

  • BMW E36 328i Sport Coupe 97'
  • 2x Honda Accord 1.8 Sport
  • Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R 01'
  • BMW E46 330Ci Coupe 04'
  • Toyota Chaser JZX100 Tourer-V 01'
  • BMW M140i 16'
  • BMW E36 323i Saloon 97'
  • Toyota JZX110 Mark2 01'
  • Honda Civic Type-R 02'
  • Land Rover Freelander 2 2.2TD4 07'
  • Mini Cooper S 1.6 09'
  • Honda Accord 2.0 Exec

For me (not sure, if I qualify?) it's a mix of...

- Cheap temp runaround
- Deal I couldn't walk away from
- I got bored

Best way to save money on car ownership is to buy older reliable car and service/fix it yourself. You should also dedicate time to read about cars you're looking to buy and try to avoid buying a lemon in the first place.
