How many ciggys can i bring back from Gibraltar?

There is lots of point, depends where you by them, try Portugal, £3.50 a packet as opposed to £5.60 here.

When did you last see the price, if you don't mind me asking? :)

On recent trips to euroland, myself and friends have all noticed (due to crap conversion rates etc.) that the price just isn't worth bothering :) My example was Amsterdam. When I was there in 2001, it was about £3 per pack compared to the £4.50+ here, but last year it was a "free 20 pack" for every 200 cigs bought.. not worth it imo. :)

9 Cartons and you're usually safe. Anything above and you run the risk of getting them confiscated/paying duty.

About £1.50 a packet on the street at the moment. Stopped smoking start of this year but its around £11 odd a carton iirc.

France cigarette prices are not worth it.
We never found Amsterdam/Holland that cheap ever.

When my mum needs cigarettes we drive over into Belgium - a lot cheaper there than in the UK or France.
It still ends up a lot cheaper even when you factor in petrol and a tunnel trip.

**update**

He never made it lol the customs stopped him and found the ciggys but not the pouches of tobacco ... he had to pay £40 for the ciggys :(
