How many different "broadband" providers are there really?

Reason I ask is, Virgin Media is not available at my address, and when I try a couple others (e.g BT, Vodafone, EE, etc).. they all give me approximately the same estimated speed (36mbps, not great, but still tolerable)

I think this is because all of these other providers are on "openreach"... hence are essentially offering re-branded versions of the same thing

Is there a third "true" provider, which might give me faster speeds? I.e:

1) Virgin Media = not available
2) Openreach providers = 36mbps
3) Something/someone else?

Thanks

Mobile networks, Starlink, legacy satellite providers, a few independent full fibre providers as mentioned, various leased line options and some independent WISPs off the top of my head. Most have big downsides though. Availability and cost being the main ones.
