Poll: How many drinks do you have on a night out?

When you’re out on the bevvies, what’s your typical consumption? Trying to get a feel for how I compare to others.

I need to cut down cos my hangovers are getting too bad these days.

6 or 7 pints last night with a meal and band afterwards. Bed about 1, up about 8, not the best nights sleep.

No hangover worth speaking about today

I am very envious of people who do not suffer hangovers.

My problem is I’m a binge drinker so might have nothing for a month then 6+ (emphasis on the plus) drinks in one night. Tend to have a couple of bottles of lager then go onto spirits.

Don't go out very often, once every couple of months but when I do it's 10 pints minimum plus whatever I end up moving on to.

I’d probably be sick if I had 10 pints. I think it’s the gas from the carbonation.

What are you drinking? The reason I quit booze is that my hangovers were severe. The last hangover I had was in my mancave in the Highlands, it was brutal. Took days to recover.

Usually have a couple of lagers then vodka and coke or southern comfort and lemonade. Occasionally have cocktails and shots too. :s

I’m surprised how common switching to spirits is. A few years ago I just used to stick to lager / beer all night.

agreed, you would need to ask only people your own age, even then everyone is different
for the record, i used to binge drink so it was 10+ (that includes pre drinks, drinks in bar and then drinking until you fall over at someones house )

We did find out a lot of people like Bovril

The only reason the vast majority of people drink after about the age of 30 is chasing the unattainable goal of replicating a great night they had when they were a teenager.

Well, I stuck to 6 drinks last night (mix of cocktails and lager) and I'm fine this morning so might have hit my magic number. Will experiment with just lager, just spirits, just cocktails, etc. over the festive period and next nights out.

Bit of a change from Saturday's hangover hell caused by 2 pints of lager, ~13 vodka and cokes and 2 Jaegers.
