How many fans can go in this and which ones for best cooling?

Just want the most possible fans in but the quietest!

and where can i get some acoustic dampening?

It states up to 9 120mm fans, that would be 3 in the front (no room for optical drives if you want this) 1 in the roof, 1 in the back and 4 on the door bracket

To be honest you wont need that many fans. I have the 831 stacker without the door bracket and i run 2 120mm fans in the front using coolermaster 4-in-3 modules, a sharkoon silent eagle in the roof hole and the standard coolermaster 120mm fan in the rear and it keeps my q6600 with tuniq tower and 8800gt very cool and is no more noisy (prob quieter) than my old hp desktop pc!

I guess I read it wrong, because it says up to 9 fans. I thought it meant an additional 9 fans, on top of the 2 fans that come with it. My bad

Waste of money, the fans on the side of the case will work against the ones blowing air through the case and out the back.
