How many friends do you have?

As the title says really....

I thought I had quite a few, but it's just come to me, I don't really have any.

I have over 300 'friends' on Facebook, messaged a few 'close' friends earlier on, they have seen the message, and just haven't bothered getting back to me.

Bit of a depressing thread really, but yeah, how many friends would you say you had who you could talk to?
 
I have 6 very close friends, these I would tell anything and they'd have my back, I know a lot of people but I don't class them as friends, just people I know of.
 
Parents aside, I have a few friends who I happily socialise with on occasion. I keep most people at arms length though. I'm very independent and I'm really more than happy to be on my own most of the time.
 
theirs freinds , buddys, mates , homies. have a fair few of each, as you get older you find most move on with their lives but good ones even if you dont see them much will pull up and help when one off is in need

Loads. Sometimes I feel too many. I've always been someone who is content with my own company, so at times I get a bit annoyed with the constant barrage of calls, messages, etc. It's why my phone is permanently on silent and I rarely answer it. :p

These days I don't really have any real friends apart from my wife, and my family (fortunately I have many siblings). I have all my old school friends on facebook, but apart from the odd comment here and there, they they remain soley on facebook. I feel like I don't have time for close friends these days anyway, I'm sure if I was single it would bother me, but I'm fine as I am. :)
 
none so dont worry op your not alone, i have fun at work with great people i dont see them out of work though so i get my conversation and company in the day, then i go home to my empty flat and occupy myself with gaming and movies. The few friends i have arent worth having they always do stuff without me so i do not really consider them friends anymore.

Better to have none at all than some crappy ones who let you down and dont respect you etc.
 
I could say the main reason for this thread but it'll probably get locked for medical reasons. I thought I had at least 1 good friend who I could talk to, turns out he isn't that interested anymore (probably fed up of me moaning).

Moved into my own house about 8 months ago, thought I would have 'mates' round all the time. Turns out, nobody hardly comes unless they want something. #depressing.
 
Around 20-25 'close' friends. As for friends in total, 80-100 hundred. By 'friend', i am defining it as someone i know a bit about and would happily go for a drink with/spend time with/have a rapport.

I live with 8 others so they have friends and their friends have friends etc. Plus my job means i'm always interacting (face to face and email) new people on a daily basis across the company.
 
My only close friends are from school/uni days and I don't see them very often anymore as they are I different countries! I just have work mates now.

i have lived in my own flat since december my best mate has been round once in 8 months, if i dont go to his he isnt interested he makes excuses. he lives about a 10 min walk away. i have come to the conclusion i must be an a**hole lol. or ive got crap friends.

fortunately i have a younger brother who i get on great with he comes round a lot and hes great fun. i was seeing someone from school recently but she smoked and wheezed and coughed in bed and didnt have the skills i expected for a 32 yr old and i had to ditch her. fortunately im happy on my own. :)
 
I have no friends :( Its only myself to blame, i don't mind though. I have one friend still in south africa but not seen him in 6 years. I don't realy make an effort to keep a contact list outside of work. If i did more activities then i think i would have more friends who contacted me to do things. As i don't do much then why would i have friends? the type of friends that would come over to my house and uninvited and hang about for a few hours. I have not had friends like that for many years. I recently made an effort to add someone to my fake facebook page who had recently left work who i worked with in same office for 4 years.I have 3 friends on facebook :D two from south africa one from uk. Finding good people with same good attitude and interests can be difficult these days. The type of friends i had growing up in 14-20 age we were always contacting each other and even just show up unannounced and start eating their food. I guess those types of friends some people keep till they get old but i think a lot of times people just move apart or get partner then forget about their friends. Once you have a partner then you have couple friends.
