Those are all the games I ever bought...I like having them all installed and ready. All patched to latest versions and modded if necesarry (like Planescape Torment). One of the perks of PC gaming : ).Currently I am playing Torchlight like crazy and Dead Space as well.

Oh and btw, 60 are from steam, 70 from GOG, about twenty from GamersGate, D2D and Impulse, and the rest is retail, either czech eshops or UK ones.

bushmins - Planescape Torment rocks, I just played it and finished for the first time two weeks ago, in its super modded fixed up 1280*800 glory, one of the best games ever!
- Icewind Dale - it is more actiony than anything, does not draw me as much.If I want action I will play Diablo or Torchlight which does it better anyway : ).

Tr_Insanity - It takes up 806GB, 581 472 files and 27 178 folders. Took a while to measure by explorer : )

Draeger - it is not really a myth - if you install game after game after game after program etc without ever cleaning the system, it really gets slower I think.
Of course, my PC is super quick because I take care of it, never install bull****, clean the registry every once in a while, stop useless services and other junk, etc.
Btw I never defragmented, it would take too much time and PC is quick as it is..

But I thought there were more people that used PC to its full advantage?

see you in 3 weeks for you're next list after you have defragged

I am not gonna defrag, ever, no need : ).Both PC itself and games are as quick as they can be already.

Dragon Age...my next buy, after Risen..cannot wait! Good year for RPGs, Divinity 2 is also behind corner.

Indeed. It is nice to see such a vast library of games, lovely collection.

Invariably I play a game then sell it if it has little or no interest for me with regard to a second or third play.

I became a collector as soon as I stopped studying and started working..before I pirated most of the games, since parents would not buy anything and I spent all the money I had on other things that cannot be obtained for free, like computer hardware. As soon as I started working I started buying all the games I ever finished.I would guess that a lot of pirates are like that - pirating because they are not earning. Now the only games that I finished but did not buy are Silent Hill 2 and 3 on PC, but those are impossible to get.

man thats a lot of games, guess you dont reformat very often? be a mission reisntalling that lot!

Yeah I am reformatting once every two years, now I am in the middle of the cycle and will not reformat for a long time, no need.

Maybe when some DX10 games that are DX10 ONLY come out and I wanna play them (currently there is none like that), maybe then I would considering switching.

Btw nice selection of games, I am still wondering whether to get Borderlands or not.

What size HD you got?

I have two 1TB Samsungs F1 in the PC, one for games/programs/windows and the other one for data, and then one more 1TB F1 outside of the PC in my drawer that serves as a backup of the data drive...so that if it ever dies, I do not lose al my music collection (I would kill someone if that ever happened, so many years of collecting!), movies, photos..etc.

My theory, if I've got room to install it I will. That way if I ever fancy playing something I can, rather than having to decide if I can bothered to download/install it.

Yep, exactly. Why not use the advantage PC gives me? The convenience is the best.

Nice list BTW! I take it you like steam : ).

Myself, despite having 50+ games on it, do not like it too much.Sometimes it gives me "busy" message, or it freezes when updating games (although usually it unfreezes when game is updated), it just seems clumsy and unnecesarry.

A lot of the links on it are short cuts, but mainly I'd rather go for a title on steam than elsewhere. I've never really had any major problems with it, within the last few years (granted it was a pita before then :p ).

It's another pet hate I have that is along the same lines as before. When I want to play a game I'd rather just play it than have to dig around for the disk.

It's been particularly handy with some of the older games that always seem to be in a deal as well. Rather than having to mess around with DosBox or something to get them running, it's all done for me. :p

Auto-updating is a nice feature that I like as well, I like not having to worry about manually having to bother to check I'm all patched up before I start playing. :)

Yeah autoupdating and nodvd requirement is a great advantage of steam, I will give you that : ).Although I use unofficial fixes on my protected original games, because I refuse to be punished for buying original games.Of course, somewhere that is not possible since reliable fix does not exist, but what are you gonna do...

As for old games - GOG rocks!;)

Not as much as the OP but do i win 2nd:D

Cunntly playing Gears of war DX10 Win 7, NFS shift and Crysis warhead:cool:

They are on installed on my 500gb hdd with about 20gb left:eek:

Can't wait for MW2:cool:

That is a very nice collection!
Make a screenshot of your installed games as well for our viewing pleasure! : )

Here is my retail collection as it looked 3 months ago, now it is lot larger but I do not have a camera around.

Totally retarded to install so many games at once IMO. I only install games I am playing. No point having games installed if you never play them.

You must have some sort of OCD to want everything installed at once. You're crazy. lol

right now I have about 6 games installed.

L4D
Grid
TF2
Batman AA
Resi 5
portal

Nah I just like the convenience.

That, and the OCD :D

But why not have it, when I can.....

How do you get dos games running in vista64:confused:

EASY! I run on WinXP SP3 32bit nLited ! Hahahaha. I know that if I will switch to Vista/7, I will get problems with some of them, and since my PC is currently superquick and does everything I want it to, there is no reason to change.I use software, not OS.

BTW if that nice visual style fooled you, it is called Luna Element 5.

Refreshing to see so many actually buy PC games!!!

I just counted and I have 261 retail boxed games spanning 1992 to present (all bought on release date as well). Way too many to photograph it would take hours ;) Only have a few recent games installed nowadays as its too time consuming & waste of HD space to keep them all on the PC.

How the trends change as well most of the PC games released 1992-1998 cost £44.99 each (some multi cd FMV heavy titles were £50 and 7th guest was £69.99!) then 1999-2002 PC games dropped to £29.99-34.99 and still retained the large boxes but 2002 to now has mostly been the slimcase DVD design and recently @ retail PC is seriously in danger of becoming extinct as here in West London few shops stock PC games anymore so its either a trip up the west end or pre-order online. Back in the day you could walk into the main music/games/dvd retailers in the west end and the PC was massive taking up a lot of floor space vs now its a few rows if your lucky

To be honest I could not care less if there are any PC games in stores, as long as I can order them online. All 312 games I currently own (as pictured) were bought either online, or via digital distribution. Why go out when you do not have to and can get it cheaper to boot? : )
