How many GPU's have died on you?

Well my 480gtx died today and this has now put me in a rather bad position considering I ran sli and the rma will not give me back another 480 it would seem. I also do not want to have to buy another 570, which I presume they would give me in exchange.

So how many have died on you?

So far I've had:

1- 6600GT actually made it to about 4 years old before it died.

2- 8800GTX die on me (which I only discovered today going through my order history was infact an A grade one with 3 months warranty which is not what I paid for from ocuk so no wonder it died just after a year old.)

3- 285GTX died about 13 months old and BFG went bust so no warranty.

4- 480GTX died 8 months old.

Had two Sapphire 6870's launch day reference cards die.
Few weeks between them, but coincidence? I think not.

Sounds like you should be able to RMA it, contact the shop tomorrow about it.

None. I got given an old 7900gs which I installed in someones PC. It used to run at about 100c and lasted about 2 years like that. I got it free and it was worthless though.

Over the years ive had four die on me.

2x 6800 gt's
1 gtx 280
1 gtx 275, (replacement for the 280 above).

Only one, a 7900GTO made by Sparkle, the memory chips overheated I think and the card started artifacting, it was my last Nvidia card..

Lost an X850XT PE that Powercolor didn't give a **** about replacing (won't buy anything from them again).

Beyond that, everything's been fine.

Ive had none had the most rocksolid cards ever and didnt even look after my first few had wire dragging on the fan fo god knows how long and still came out unscathed, had a sketchy 2nd 6600gt though but it was free so i survived with that for about 3 months.

Funnily though, all my ATI cards still work that I bought over the years lol.

X1800XT - Dead after 1.5 years
8800 GTS 320 - Dead after around 9months
