How many miles do you do a week commuting

infact here it is albeit a few years ago

no offence to will, but how can that graph make any sense?
Its only point is to make USA look like the enemy, and nothing else surely?
OTHERS 50% wtf is that about, and if germany uses 3%, UK must use 1-2 surely? So they're just hiding us in others again to maker USA look bad, China only 8% please... but maybe 6+ year old stats are that wrong?

for the thread I don't commute to work, but for work have burnt more fuel than all of you in the last month by making, 7 flights in a plane for work :)

7 miles each way currently but with our workplace moving to Wakefield it'll be 33 each way, so.... 330 miles a week, should be doable with a tank of fuel (clio 182).

I went from doing 4 miles per day to 70 miles. So jumping from a poultry 24 to 420 miles for the week. Finding it pretty difficult, more so having to get up an hour and half earlier for work :p

I also changed the 182 to a nice big diesel mondeo to soak up the extra miles.

Seems daft? 182 should get close to 40mpg if it's mainly motorway.

I'd have thought the Mondeo would be considerably more comfortable for longer journeys though. Wouldn't want to be doing 70 miles a day in a small hatchback personally, which is probably his reason for changing aswell.

I do about 16 miles per week now, 8 miles Tuesday Morning, 8 Miles Saturday night on the way home again.

Mind you, I do anything upto 2000 miles in between driving my truck!

No, but it could be a good way to end up with one, particularly if said hatchback is a sporty variant where comfort wasn't at the top of the list of priorities.

Sod all at the moment. Office is 2 miles away and normally I walk, so only using the car about once a week for work when I'm feeling lazy/hung over
