Instead of quoting mpg's just interested in a real world comparison of how many miles you guys would get in your cars, how many to every £20 you put in

please also write car make / model and driving style.

Cheers

Car: 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400.

As gently as I can drive it, about 35 miles.

Driven with some pace, about 15. Maybe less.

The car's a not particularly well tuned though, so that may improve.

194.2 miles - Toyota Yaris D4D
try to drive carefully as its my commuter but i tend to end up ragging it around to get home sooner..

111.1 miles - Mazda MX5 2.0
Wifes car, she does drive it properly though!

72.9 miles - Subaru Impreza STi
Driven like a weekend car should be

Way I have been driving laterly, about 60 mile.

Once I've gone past the new car phase, I reckon I'll be around 30mpg instead of 20mpg.

Astra VXR.

So you basically want everyone, instead of posting their MPG, to post their MPG multiplied by how many gallons they get for £20? :p

Using those figures..

3.12 * 66mpg =

205 miles

Driven like a dead granny

You're not buying diesel for £1.409 a litre though surely?

So you want me to take my mpg around town (22) and divide it by 4.54 to find out how many miles per litre that is (4.84). Then take the £20 and work out that it buys 14.19 litres of Super Unleaded @ 1.409 meaning that for £20 I get 69 miles per £20 I put in.

Isn't it easier to just quote mpg

Surely you dont only put £20 in every time or something?
