How many monitors with one card...?

Hi,

I was told ages ago when I built my PC I can only have two monitors on my graphics card (PNY GTX460 1GB Enthusiast Edition) ... but is this correct?

I currently have my two Dell U2412M's connected via DVI and I was wondering would it be possible to connect the TV too via the mini HDMI?

Fairly sure the answer is no but didn't want to try it in case it would damage the card having 3 connected

I would think you can! Just not in a surround mode like eyefinity.. But just extending your desktop.. I'm not 100% sure but I think I did this yes ago with my gtx295.

You wont damage the card outputting 3 displays, i'm pretty sure Nvidia allow 3+ extended displays from one card...it's surround they don't allow on the older cards.

Will not damage the card but will also not work. 2 monitors only on pre-600 series geforce single gpu cards.

This. For Nvidia, it needs to be the 600 series or above. For AMD, it needs to be the 5000 series or above.
