How many of you have "foodie" neighbours?

I moved address last year and was fortunate enough to take up residence next to a young family who are fantastic cooks, and into making their own food and drink much as I am. As a result we've started to regularly swap meals, or repay favours (lifts, fixing laptops, oddjobs etc) with food, which is pretty much my idea of heaven (I'm saying this tucking into a homemade butter chicken curry with roti and curried veg, that I had zero contribution in the cooking of!).

I've never been much of a socialite, but this appears to be a friendship built on a common love of food!

So, anyone else in the fortunate position of having foodie neighbours? Had any friendships kicked off just for the love of good food rather than a lot of the junk that people eat these days (sweeping statement, but often true)?

Unfortunately no. The only experience I get of my neighbours food is the choking of barbecue fumes every day during the summer.
