This is something that has always amazed me with my best mate.
Every Thursday we go round theirs for a curry and two things will happen:
1) His phone rings and he goes to pick the grandkids up from 2.5 miles away
2) His phone rings and he goes to pick the curry up 1.5 miles away
Both times he will put the his phone on the table and just go, obviously 10 years ago for around 4 weeks I said "You've forgot your phone" but he takes no notice and just goes.
Even at my old age I wouldn't be able to leave the house to go 100 yards without my phone, I'm not addicted to it, it's a lifeline.
About a year ago he left to get the curry and was a long time so I picked his phone up and went to look for him, his car had broken down so I gave him his phone and he waited for recovery while I took the curry back home.
Now you'd think after that experience he'd take his phone with him but no and last night he broke down again which meant I had to eventually go looking for him and took his phone.
So OCUK, how many of you would gladly leave your phone at home while going out, I know I can't?
