How many people are using IE7?

I tried IE7 on my laptop. Hated it. Couldn't find half the things and couldn't be arsed to find out how to get them back (favourites being one). Seemed cluttered and illogical.
It's the big Star in the top left.

It's all similar to the explorer layout in Vista - with the menus hidden by default. Press Alt, and they appear again. Right click in the middle of the menus to choose what you want, and you can have it back permanently if you really, really want to.

You get File, Edit, View, Favourites, Tools, Help. Just like IE6.

I quite like the new Icons instead though... but I suppose that's personal preference.

I'm a firefox user. Why? TBH I'm not really sure.

I don't understand people's dislike of IE7, I have it installed and use it ever so often especially if I'm on the Vista RC2 test rig (doesn't have FF). I can find everything I need easily and I have no problem using it.

So back to the question of why I use FF? Illogical preference more then anything, and I bet most of the people here are the same.

the main reason i use firefox over ie7 is because of the tab mix plus extension. if ie7 had this much functionality over it's tab control, i'd probably use it. :)

Well I just installed it a because Windows pops up a prompt in the updates saying if you want to install it so just did.

It is good, but it still seems to be a little buggy.

I'm seeing lots of people moaning about the memory usage of firefox. It is high yes, but does it actually hurt your systems performance at all, I'm betting is does not, so why worry about it.

It can be very annoying, especially on my work machine when Firefox has a tendancy to hang (might be network there but only happens on Firefox) because of it. The only reason I'd use Firefox now is because of the Adblock extension.

I'm mainly using IE7 though I'd like to see Adblock released for it. Reading hardware review sites can get very annoying because of adverts.

Have had it installed for a couple of months and like it immesley although the phishing filter annoyed me for quite some time so I turned it off. Apart from that happy wit IE7!

Im using it, updated the other day. Seems ok so far!

Not a huge fan of firefox, always seemed too slow for my tastes!

:)

I've got IE7 and a few older versions of it, but only use them for testing websites. I use Opera as my main browser, and sometimes Firefox.

Although I do sometimes have to use IE7 on the websites that don't work with Opera or Firefox.
