How many pull-ups can you do?

And I don't mean half pull-ups or whatever other incorrect ways. Just proper, dead-hang pull-ups.

Just managed 13. However it's on a ledge above my stairs, so I'm only holding on with my fingers which of course is harder. Need a bar. :p

At the minute i do military pullups, all the way down so your arms are fully extended, i do 3 sets of 20, nice burn :p
 
how many proper pull ups depends on the style.

proper id say are overgrasp pull ups where your pals are facing away from you, knuckels to you.

i can do around 7-9 atm


though normal pull ups which some class as pull ups where your pals towards you, can do around 40+

If you can do 40+ I am massively impressed. I am trying to focus on full extensions and good control. Freefaller is inspiring me to start adding weight but I'm not sure if my door frame can take 110kgs lol
 
15-20 chins, 15 pull ups, considerably fewer with a wide grip. I have a door frame with no door (used to be a pantry, now part of my room) so have just got a bar for it!
 
About 17 pull ups the last time I did them. I've stopped now though as it ruins my wrists, annoyingly.

By that I mean arms straight to chin above the bar each time.

I dont know what the actual technique is.
 
i can do 4 wide arm pull ups and im 6 foot 2 and just under 17 stone gtfo me :P

i can also run the 40 yard dash real fast duno y im so quick

does any1 else no an athletic fatty like me haha?
 
27 is my record but that was a while ago, I reckon i could probably get 30+ now

I'm 76-77KG now was lighter then but don't know how much
 
Zero pull ups, 4 chin ups.

Hear me roar, grrrr!

Thought I'd bump this to let the world know I can now do (at the very least) a mighty 2 pull ups from hanging, grrr :D

And many more chins - pleased with my progress :p

EDIT - I'm actually finding that they really hurt my forearms / wrists .... :/

i would say 70% of my back routine at the moment is a combination of pull ups and variations, i do 3 sets of muscle ups regardless of body training day before starting.

Back routine is usually around 6/7 different type of pull ups and a combination to mix it up; strength gains have gone through the roof since starting this about 3 months ago.

Does help to have a pull up bar in the house, but I would say 20/25 straight pull ups 10/12 wide grip and 6 muscle ups max!

I've never tried to do as many as possible just on my own.

I usually belt up and get around 5-15kg extra weight before I do anything.

I'll it at some stage though.
 
4 at around 95kg which is a massive improvement on the 0 not that long ago, I can around double that doing chins or pistol grip ones
