How many punctures do you get?

I don't seem to have much luck. In the last 3 years / 40'000 miles or so I have had about 8 punctures all caused by screws or nails. 2 of those needed whole new tyres as the screw/nail was in the sidewall. I wonder who on earth drops nails on the roads?

None here either.

I hope I don't get one on the front of my CTR, as the space saver doesn't actually fit on the front. Would be a right farce swapping wheels about to get it home.

Are you guys serious? Gosh. Can those who say 'never' can you state what kind of miles you do and what kind of roads you drive on? Even in the city screws seem to find there way into my tyre - have had two in Edinburgh. At home in Southampton I seem to get them even more frequently, so much so that I have taken to carrying a torque wrench in the back of my car to get the tyres off more easily! My parents seem to find the same. Must just be where we live.

One in 11 years. And now doomed to 3 in one day?!

I've a few. Mostly seem to get them if you park at the side of the road a lot.

Well, probably better than parking in the middle? :p ;)

I get slow punctures annoyingly frequently from the local rubbish tip. A good 3 or so in 2 years.

Quite a few over the last 5 years (must be near 10) got one a couple of weeks ago in the ST24 in a petrol station!

edit: Only ever had 1 in the bike, rear tyre.

I get a couple in the past few years caused by metal stuffs only but I think I was driving too close to the edge of the roads where the roads debris sit.

Best to drive a bit further away from the edge.

I've had about 10 in the last couple of years. Bloody annoying, Everytime I drive I new car, guaranteed to get a puncture.

Works got a new car, which I managed to puncture within a week. It got replaced by a van a month later which, yes, I managed to puncture as well.

The worst was a puncture in my brand new tyre with about 500 miles on it. Ruined as it was on the shoulder.
