Hi everyone, I'm going to be building an i7 980x/990x system early next year with water cooling, and I was wondering if anyone with experience of water cooling could help me out.
My system will be i7 990x (depending on price difference when it's released ect), I currently have an asus rampage 3 extreme, and will be getting a full cover nb/sb/vrm waterblock, and I will have 3x gtx 580's also water cooled.
I realize the 580 has just been released and there isn't even a water block out for it atm, and you can't really speculate on a 990x, but people with experience of 980x could help, and the 580 runs cooler than 480 so yea anyone who has a water cooled 480.
I'm housing it all in the corsair obsidian 800d. And if it will cover it, I would like to use a 360 rad (black ice sr-2 maybe?) on the inside of the roof of the case, and if people think it'll be sufficient another 240 which will be placed where the bottom two hdd bays used to be.
I'll be running my cpu at a good stable speed that won't dramatically change it's lifespan, so no extreme overclocks, maybe 4.1-4.5 (unless the 990x lives up to 4.5 on air, in which case may run at 5). And a half decent overclock on gpu's.
My other option is 2x 360 rads with with 3 sets of fans sandwiching them in a push pull config, so fans - rad - case - fans - rad -fans
If I can avoid it I'd rather have all my rads inside so a 360 and 240.
I've never water cooled a computer before but I've done a LOT of research.
Also if that setup will be ok, would a dual loop system, say with the 240 for cpu an chip sets, an 360 for sli be better than a single loop. I think I'd prefer a single but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!
