How many Sata(s)?!?

Hi all,

How many S-ATA drives can I fit per channel. I have a PC atm and it seems to be point to point. ie. one sata drive per sata socket (not like IDE where u can fit 2 per ribbon).

Reason: I need to spec a PC for work with 3 Sata drives

so i guess you only get 2 channels per controller?

hmmm gonna have a browse for a mobo with 4 channels

does any1 know if there are boards out that can fit 3-4 sata drives without a PCI card.
