Hi folks. Always been an Asus fan and was planning to jump on the SB boat with the same brand...However, I am kind of concerned about all the current bad experiences by other forum members:(
Are there anybody out there with a fully functional asus p8p67 B3 REVISION (vanilla or pro) board:confused:
I have patiently been waiting for the revised p8p67 Deluxe...
I am waiting in vain?

ive got a mind numbingly stable B2 revision P8P67, i'm actually kinda dreading swapping it out for a B3 as it does appear to be pot luck with Asus boards at the moment, & i seem to have been gifted a good solid board.

Had mine almost two weeks (not long, I know) but it hasn't missed a beat in that time. My 2600k has been overclocked to 4.5 since day one with everything on auto and it's been perfect. Absolutely love my board and would honestly recommend it to anyone. :)

I would very much like to know this as well.

Otherwise I will look at MSI or Gigabyte.

*** I've been looking at the Pro ***

Mine is going great @ 4.5 ,I have had it for about 3 weeks .I also used the tri channel XMS3 memory I had from my old X58 platform .So far I am really impressed with it .

mine smoked when first installed and now the cpu fan port is busted and i cant get any output from the board, just sits there spinning the fans away
add one to the broke pile :P

Got a Pro B3, was running for four days, then I shutdown the pc and went to bed, next morning - nothing, dead board:-(. I'm gutted.

Wouldn't touch another one now.

Going to get a refund and get another MSI P67A-GD65:)

I've got a 95% stable p67 deluxe b2 Not particularly interested in getting a new B3 as if the only problem being sata 3gb ports then why bother as I use the other working ports.

Am I correct in assuming the only thing new with the B3 is the intel 3gb chip?

Got a few questions to ask since im a novice to this auto overclocking biz

* Using the 1305 bios for the B2. Had a couple of turn-off's nothing I can really replicate. (in theory the 1305 should be fine for the B2 right since there is no difference in the B3)

* The AI Suite temp and other temp programs say the cpu hovers around 25c to 46c under load but when im in the bios it says 36c

* Ive changed the cpu fan to the chassis fan controller so I can have control over the cpu fan speed (is this actually safe todo? cpu never goes above 50 and if im playing a gfx intensive game the chassis fans kicks in too max ie 1900rpm on the cpu fan) so whats the problem there. Right? repeating the Had a couple of turn-off's nothing I can really replicate.

p.s. ive stress tested the pc for around an hour each time with various programs. No problem there.

Currently running @ 3.5mhz bclk freq 103, 1.195 cpu voltage, 1.65 ddr voltage

Would love some insight into this

ive got the new B3 PRO and im loving it, had it for 2 weeks but has been overclocked to 4.4 and its great. no problems at all.

(apart from it saying that my drive is not AHCI or something) but it still boots up fine so i just ignore it

P8P67 PRO B3 here aswell.
Been using it few days so far and it seem very stable.

I love oveclocking options in windows
Currently running [email protected] with voltage below 1.3v under load.
To reach stable 5GHz i need voltage of ~1.39 under load.

I've had my vanilla P8P67 for 2 weeks now - all running fine

P8P67 (vanilla), i5-2500k (o/c to 4.3Ghz), Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x4GB, MSI 560 GTX Twin Frozr, HDA X-Mystique DDL Soundcard, Corsair 128GB SSD
