i've been driving about a year and a half and have been stoped 3 (!) times.... and not got any points cautions or fines....

first time it was 11 o'clock at night and i was driving home from my job at pace, (like lose your license pace) and i saw a police car a bit off slowed down back to the speed limit (lobed the anchors out) and the police car folowed me for 2 miles and finnaly pulled me over because they thought i was drunk because i'd been doing 3 miles an hour BELOW the speed limit (possibly cos i was fairl nervous had only been driving for like 2 months)

second time i desereved it i was driving four mates home from a club at 3am and i set off without my lights on (it was very bright and i was trying to sort out 4 drunken mates.... easy thing to forget) and this women stops me and askes to smell my breath (once again tottaly sober)

3rd time was me being silly pulled out of a junction at 1am driving mate home and we were chatting and i didn't expect a police car to go all the way round a round about cos i've never seen any car do it before and no cars indicate off roundabouts surfice to say i nearly had a police car in the side of my car... very bad indeed, they pulled me over just of the roundabout and gave me a good talking to but nothing bad (once again i was tottaly sober)

just wondering if other people had been pulled over multiple times with out conviction? i mean 3 times in a year (ish)!
it's wierd.... i'm beginging to think they are stalking me... and i don't like talking to the police... it's scary :)

Never stopped, but once while I was pulled over int eh street they stopped alongside me with the words "Turn your fogs off unless you want a ticket" :o

Three times I believe.

First I was driving alongside a Corsa on an inner-city dual carriageway. First question 'were you racing?'

Second I was driving rather aggressively on a country lane when I happened on a jam sarnie. He followed me and gave me a bit of a talking to.

The other one I was waved down and told 'almost didn't see you there with all this fog sonny'. I'd forgotten to turn my fogs off having driven back over the M62 in dense fog. Of course, plod didn't care about this and proceeded to give me his long-winded version of events and possible outcomes.

3 Times

1st Time on the way home from driving parents to a party! One of those Xmas spot checks where they try to nobble you for anything they can.

2nd Time Driving way above the speed limit late at night on the A1. I got chased down by Durham Constabularies Imprezza and given a telling off!

3rd Time Annoying the police motorcyclist one Sunday Morning on the M1 by trying to overtake him when he was "setting an example by going at a sensible speed". Didn't go down too well:D

All pretty silly incidents and the 2nd two were entirely my own fault:o but I don't think my record is too bad for 9 years of driving.

Not been stopped but i did get my car searched due to "loitering" in a Tesco car park at 9pm.

I'm surprised i didn't get pulled over last night, i was driving behind a police car at night with just my side lights on as i hadn't turned the dial all the way.

Many many many times.

Sometimes legitimate, i.e. a vehicle check, sometimes because the Copper just does not like truckers (often, they will tell you outright!)

Ironically, more in the years that I have driven profesionally and calmed down a bit compared to the deranged moron who used to somehow avoid being pulled from my vehicle & being shot! :o

erm in the hundreds somewhere !

When I was a teen living in london we would get stopped every weekend night ,we use to cruise all night until dawn with a car full !

Having 2 or 3 producers a week was often the case ,most of the stops were just harassment of young teens driving very late at night .

I moved to torquay and got stopped 1 or 2 times a year then visited london and was stopped almost as soon as I arrived

The cops in london are a-holes ,down here they only stop you for a good reason !

Never, worst I've had is sitting on double yellows for 2 mins waiting for the gf in a shop, police pulled alongside and ushered me along, her 30 sec walked became 10 mins :)

NEVAR!

4 years and 3 months driving.

"How many times have you been stopped by the warden on Sailsbury Plane?" - Once... :)

In the 15 years that I've been driving:

2 Stops.

1. I used to work at Tesco in an evening and my shift finished at 11:00pm.
I used to park in front of a motor garage while I worked.
Police just happened to see me pull off a forecourt at 11:00pm and decided to pull me.

2. About 4 years ago, Christmas Eve, driving home from work.
Random stop due to the Christmas Drink/Drive campaign.

15 years and still a totally clean license.

There really is no reason for them to pull you these days unless running a campagn or reports of a stolen car fit the bill fo yours, all the automated stuff keeps it very non interactive so i suppose only really shifty looking people are in danger of a producer lol!
