Hi there guys i d like a few opinions on how many times you feel is enough loops or "times to run" in InetlBurnTest running it on maxium with 8 threads to class the overclock as stable.

Most do 20, but even then its not 100% stable but as good as.

My settings can pass 100's upon 100's of runs on IBT and LinX and run for hours on end with Prime, but as i do F@H sometimes i can get lock ups and reboots, all be it they are rare (once in a blue moon), but annoying. So just bare that in mind, somethings may still make it throw a wobbly.

cool i run 10 runs this morning no probs will run 20 this evening am i right in saying that if it passes 20 runs on IBT i dont really need to run prime95
(i just want to get on and play some games!!)

ps i have passed 1hr on small fft already

All depends really, some might say yes allways best to run prime for at least 8hours, so will say you will be fine, its all personal choice really, there is no definitive yes or no.

Something to bear in mind
IBT on standard doesn't give your CPU much of a work out.
The tests are too short.

Use at least the HIGH setting, unless you are memory limited.

I was testing a 4.2Ghz overclock on my Q9550 last week and it ran 20 runs of Linx with no problems. It fell over after almost 13 hours of prime though with a "stopped with error" fault.

I have to draw the line some were with testing but I will run 20 passes tonight of IBT
any thoughts on how much prime95 I should run and on what settings before I can be happy!
