The Virtual console is the part of the Wii where I spend most of my time. When I bought my Wii I played Wii sports and Wii play for a short time and got bored of Zelda: TP very quickly. When are any good games going to come out?

Anyway most of my time is spent at VC here's what I've downloaded.

The problem with nintendo is that the thrid party support is not there! they are making games for the nextgen consoles.

The problem is the first party games will be maybe 8 games max a year, its not enough.

Im hoping they will sort out the online support or I can see this dying in a year or so.

Seing as youve got that many games and only zelda, it seems like your using it as a really exspensive emulator

Isnt it cheaper buying one of them 100 megadrive games in 1 for about a fiver? I find the VC very exspensive, especially seing as I have most of the classic games I like to play over and over (and their respective consoles)

I've used mame in the past I just feel the VC gives me peace of mind that I'm not braking any laws playing these classics on my Wii.

How do these games look blown up on a large hd tv?, have they been 'tarted' up in anyway or are they simply straight ports.

Anyone got pics to post?

can you now use your stars as wii points? if so i better get including my Wii and games onto the other ones i got :D

EA, ubisoft, sega and konami , to name but a few, all have games in the works for the wii - what more could you ask for?

EA and Ubisoft are quite prolific too. Add to that list SNK, Square Enix and Capcom to name but a few more. The games will come - I seem to be managing on the release scraps (I have 8 Wii games, would like to try Red Steel too. :D)

EDIT - Also, I've got the following VC games:

Bomberman '93
Super Castlevania IV
Super Probotector
Street Fighter II
Mario Kart 64

they make money on the wii.

Quite a bit as well If im not mistaken

A gamecube cost how much to produce? Probably 20 quid, seing as they could churn them out at 50 quid no probs, dsitribute them and sell them allowing shops their own profit margins and make a profit.

A wii is a GC, just overclocked, a few special extras, like a SD port instead of a memory port (which is just a adapted version of a SD slot) like the mini dvd was just a slightly different DVD drive

The only real extra exspensive is the wiimote, but I cant see it costing that much, seing as they can be sold for 25 quid, which i imagine also has quite a mark up on it.

Got Mario Kart (N64) and Zelda (SNES) so far. They are overpriced for what they are i.e. old games, but the exchange rate to dollars saves me about £10 on 5000 points. Looking forward to that original content whenever the stick it up there.
