I have HWMonitor but that only tells me the CPU usage, are there any programs that give a total figure for all the hardware? Reason behind this is that I'm thinking of using my main rig (see signature) to run multiple VMs for long priods of time but don't want it to use too much power.

If it does then I'm going to look into getting a standalone energy effecient box just for VMs

RJC is spot on. When i had my 5850 i saw a peak of 334w at the wall when running Furmark Stability test and Linx both at the same time. Normal gaming use was 220-274w depending on the game. My 5850 was heavily overclocked along with the cpu so if yours are both at stock take some wattage off.

Thanks for the input guys, guess I'll be going for option B: get an energy efficient server, theres a great deal for the HP Microserver listed on the Servers section of this forum I'm going to get one of those.... 30W over 24 hours will cost a lot less electricity than 300W over 24 hours :)
