how meny processes do you have running?

I used a PC the other week that had 124 processes running. Managed to get it down to about 70 odd.

60 processes, although could easily whittle that down I have about 10 windows open across 7 different apps.

Down to 79 if I close the non-essential start-up programs.

Windows XP SP3 + loads of stuff running like msn, foobar, firefox, utorrent, steam, rainlender, realtemp etc and god damn antivirus uses up 3 processes on its own!

Used to have 14 running processes on a very nlited and tweaked xp disc i used to use.

With Vista and beyond it doesn't matter how many standard processes are running - won't affect performance....unless they're hogging all of the CPU which they won't be.
