how meny processes do you have running?

On my internet/general purpose pc 28. On my gaming pc 12 under XP and 33 under Vista 64. I hate un-needed services running so whenever i do a install i tweak the system after all the updates and everything else is on.

68 on 2008 Server Enterprise (32bit), that's with outlook, office communicator, cobian backup, forefront, IE, couple of RDP sessions etc. all running

39 currently running on XP with no reboot in about 5 days. Have ventrillo, newsleecher, winamp, firefox, utorrent running. :D

Because these days we have plenty of memory and fast, multicore CPUs it's hardly worth disabling some of the processes. Plus, whether you have 15 or 150 processing running it still only takes 1 to go beserk.

Fun to see what numbers others come up with though.

82 usually but it's over 90 sometimes when I have a lot running as I cba to close things usually just minimize everything. Except in boot up time it barely matters anyways though as I have a quadcore and 6gb of ram.

My windows box at work, thats running a c compiler, video chat with Germany, firefox, sourcesafe, an assembler development environment, notepad++, msn, and vmware, so pretty good actually.

12  Any advice? I can only ever get to 27 :/

The pc has no internet access so needs no AV/Anti Spyware/Firewall software. Network connections and all remote services are disabled. You can disable a lot of them anyway. I will post a list of what is enabled later. That would be easier. The pc absolutely flies along. :D
