How much better is the X3 Tri Core 720 compared to the X3 710?

the 720's will be much easier to overclock, and is definately the better buy at the moment, i believe they are on a this week only at the moment as well
Nope, that was last week!
Still, even at full price the 720 seems to be well worth the extra few quid.

Agreed with vishy. If you're overclocking, get the 720. If not, it depends on the price difference. £10 is probably worth it. £35 probably isn't, I'd say you'd get more performance out of spending £35 extra on the GPU or something instead.

I know, I'm hoping they somehow stay that way until summer!
Just noticed the OP hasn't really said what he needs it for. No point spending that £35 on a better GPU if he's crunching numbers all day!
