The D5 Vario Pump & Alphacool Clear HF D5 Top Value Combo compared with EK's 2.2 DCP pump and performance gain over the 2.2?


Not saying i'm looking for a replacement *wink* but i think a better pump wouldn't hurt compared to my 2.2 right now. Poor little thing is pumping through 3 rads, a cpu and a gpu block.
 
i had the phobya model thats the same and moved to a d5 (2full cover gpu 360+240rad +cpu block), temps dropped nice and you can realy see the water swirling around in my res now and its completely silent. i have it mounted on a shoggysandwich on number 5 and my psu is the loudest thing in my case ;)

Defo worth the £85 investment then? How much bigger is thr D5 compared to your old one as im tight for space.
 
Holy **** thats big lol... Hmmm even if i get one i highly doubt i can mount it anywere in my case :(.

Ideas anyone?

Would rather replace the unit completely as the pump is loud.

Will the ddc or d5 pumps fit in a 5.25" bay??

I do have one spare bay at the moment.
