How much can this cpu be overclocked. Also will it be better to increase the FSB or increase the multiplier to get more speed out of it. I was thinking about getting the FSB to 400Mhz to match the 800Mhz memory, would this make much difference in performance?

Thanks for all the advice. At the moment it seems a choice between the OCUK 6400 2GB or paying £45.00 more and getting the Ballistix 5300. :confused:

In reply to meatloaf the current system I am getting is;

CPU - E6300
Motherboard - Abit AB9 QuadGT
PSU - 520w Corsair
Case - PC-V600
GPU - Nvidia 7900GS 512mb
CPU Cooler - Scyth Ninja Plus
Monitor - Dell 2407WFP
Memory - Ballistix 5300 2GB / OCUK 6400 2GB :confused:
Hard Drive - :confused:

Would that be decent, plus im upgrading to quad core and probably a 8800 when they are less money.

Thank you very much for the advice. I had a look at the other case and I prefer the look of the PC-G50 now, and it looks almost identical inside to the PC-V600. I didn't like the look of the other cases as much so I think I will definitly get the PC-G50 now and use one of the two coolers that you reccomended. As long as I can overclock it to 400mhz then I think i'll be happy, and even better if it is able to run silently at that speed. :)

I just checked the Thermalright website and they say the heatsink is 91.5mm, but I heard that you can only use up to 3 3/8" in height on the pv-g50 on a review site. :confused: Have the review site got it wrong?

(Edit) I just checked the Silverston NT06 is only 78mm so should I use this one instead or would the Thermalright one be ok still?

(Edit) Would the Thermalright xp-120 be any good also, I think it is new and it only is 63mm height.
