How much coolant do i need?

Hey all,

For a cpu loop only with a 280 rad and 250ml res would you say 1l of mayhems pastel is enough?

Additionally on first setup can I use the mayhems straight away? Or do i need to run the loop with distilled first. Or do I not need distilled at all

For a fresh loop it's usually good to flush it with something like Mayhems Blitz before filling up with their coolants. Disclaimer: Never tried or tested since I use distilled + silver. Have read about issues from others when they haven't used Blitz or equivalent though.

Always get more coolant than you think you need in case of spillage and unexpected flushing of the loop. I'd get 2L personally.

for my setup with CPU and GPU, a 360mm and a 240mm slim rads I use just under 1ltr..but always buy 2ltrs as suggested above.
