How much cost for distance?

Just wondering random question, how much on a 1.2 fiesta mk6, would it cost (assuming driving sensibly) to travel 130 miles and back, so (260 miles), how much petrol £?

On a more serious note, it doesn't take 2 minutes to google 'fuel cost calculator', whack in 260 miles, a rough petrol price and the mpg your car manages and come out with a figure around £30 for that.

i dont have a mpg in my car.

So google that too, that sort of information is all over the internet, especially for such a recent car.

In seriousness, I'd expect ~£35 if your car does around 40mpg (parkers suggests roughly 40mpg).

Seriously? Are people this dependent on other people and the internet that they cant figure out a basic thing like that?

If its your car, you should know what sort of cost per mile as second nature. If its not, a quick google to find out what sort of economy to expect in miles per galon. You know what a litre of fuel costs so you know what a galon costs - you know how many mpg and how many miles so you can easily work out how many galons you need, and thus what it will cost.

Its GCSE level maths, if that.

To be fair I dont think maths is the sort of thing somebody who uses the term 'how much petrol £' is likely to list amongst key skills.
