How much could I get for my 1000D?

Recently, I've wanted to try the video side of things. I was willing to spend £200-250 on a video camera. Then I realised it would be a lot easier to get a 550D or something. Which I managed to find online (new) for £400, inc kit lens.

So, I wanted to sell my 1000D, and put that money towards a 550. Unless anyone else can recommend a better idea?

I've had it 2 and a half years and it's in pretty darn good condition. 8.6k on the shutter count.

How much could I get for it, with and without the kit lens?

You can get refurbished 1000D kits for £260 from the canon outlet, so I'd guess yours is probably worth about £200.

Don't know why I'm searching ebay for you though really.

I'll give you 50 quid to use it as a lens cap for the 800mm.

TurnipHead I was under the assumption that talk of 'how much' was not allowed unless it was in the MM section but maybe I need to brush up on the rules
