How much current does the avg pc draw?

I'm going into uni halls in a month, and i read somewhere that the sockets were limited to 5a.... On my enermax liberty 620W power supply it says : "AC input 100-240vac 50-60hz 9.4-4A " ... anybody have a educated guess on what it will draw?.. I run the following

Asus p5q pro motherboard
e2180 @ 2.9ghz
1xhdd
1xdvd drive
1x 4850

Much less than 5A, the 9.4A is if you are running from a 100V supply. The absolute maximum it can draw is 4A, if the power supply is fully loaded, but yours would probably only draw 1-1.5A at full load, and probably only 0.5A idle.

5Amps is good for 1200 Watts.

I'd estimate that your rig would draw between 1 and 1.5 Amps Max.
