how much difference between x1950 pro 512mb

as tiltle against my aging x800 clocked/flashed to XTPE that was in a 3200+ single core athlon. I'm looking at a Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 with the x1950 as i cannot afford the 8800GTS. Will i see a massive increase in fps, how well will it run Bioshock and will it be fine for the upcomming UT/crysis

There will be a decent increase in performance & by all accounts the card runs Bioshock well. Its a very good choice for a graphics card, especially considering how cheaply its priced. I imagine it will also play Crysis / UT ok too, as the makers have to cater for everyone & that card is still quite decent.

As above, will be a massive improvement, just by swapping gfx cards your getting more than double the performance, so going to a much faster CPU as well will increase it even more.

i've just gone from a x800xtpe to a x1950 pro 512mb and it was a good improvement and well worth doing,i'm running a single core amd 4000+ and it runs bioshock no probs at all,to be honest it does a lot better than expected.

When you consider the x1950pro is less than £100 its well worth the money.
