Hi,
I am looking to upgrade my (aging OC) PC mainly due to my interest in MS FlightSim and its been a while since I have done this myself.
Looking at the memory (more specifically the prices) how much real world difference does the CAS latency make? - I am pretty sure I am going for the i7-10700k (although not completely ruled out the i5-10600k) and am looking at adding 2 x 16gb DDR4 ram (or a slight change of maybe 2 x 32 if I go i5 or a cheaper board) but will I notice the difference between 3200mhz 16-19-19-36 (£140) and 3200mhz 16-18-18-36 (£180) - although that is RGB which I am not interested in.
Is there any benefit in going 3600 Mhz? the 2 x 32 caught my eye but it is 18-22-22-42 (and £260!) what sort of affect would that have?
Maybe I should down spec cpu to i5 and upgrade ram to 64mb? - will there be any benefit with the 3600Mhz? anyway on this cpu... and should I be concerned about the latency ?
Thanks for all your help.
Jonathan
