How much difference does Motion Plus make?

We've recently been playing the new Grand Slam Tennis on Wii but without the Motion plus, it just seems like a ever so slightly more advanced Wii tennis.
Will the Motion plus make that much difference?
Can anyone vouch for it?

It is just a more precise method of motion sensing. The normal Wiimote just picks up where it is and what angle it's at using the bar and accelerometers.

This jobbie should make movements 1:1 so extremely accurate.

I picked the motion + up on Friday and I think it makes a slight difference in the responsiveness of the controller and it appears to be a bit smoother when using it.

Saying that, it could just be me! :p

Wiimote can only register gestures where as Motion + as Kreeee said can track 1:1 tracking where it is and at what angles making it extremely accurate.

tbh I find gland slam frustrating (I have wii motion plus)... I just don't get how they could make a game with more technology less fun than the tennis on wii sports.

there is no way in hell its any where near as good as EA made it out to be!

oh well guess i will have to wait and see if virtua tennis is more responsive and 'fun'.

I cant put my finger on why it is so bad but its like I do my move and then the character does it after. Its hard to explain but I just thought it would be like whatever I do it does at the same time

Are you using the nunchuck to move your player? I have heard this is much better.

I think it will depend on the game. I think in the tennis games it is getting mixed reactions from people, but the likes of Tiger Woods it is apparently excellent.

I am actually gonna buy Tiger for the Wii when it comes out

Surely Tiger Woods with 1:1 mapping would be awesome!

Can see their being a market for Golf coaching and the like with 1:1 mapping, is it that accurate?

Hopefully some decent games will come out soon that are at least optimised and programmed for the Wii Motion Plus in mind, as it's not surprising for the initial games right now to be absolute pants. Though from what I read, it seems that Virtua Tennis 2009 Wii seems to be a lot better than Grand Slam Tennis regarding it's use.

Apparently it's awesome, I'm not that much into golfing games but the reviews it's getting are 8/10+.

It is hard to tell how good the Wii Motion Plus is at any of the tennis games. BTW I couldn't decide what tennis game to get so bought both and have settled on Grand Slam. Virtua doesn't feel as intuitive and it sucks how you have to point at your player between each point to calibrate your controller.

It does look brillliant for Tiger. Can't wait to get it. :D
