How much do I really need a Wii...?

Here's my current dilemma, hope someone here can help me sort this one out...

Currently, I have a Wii and TP on preorder. As it is, we're likely to see the cube version of TP before I get the Wii, so how much difference is a Wiimote really going to make, baring in mind that I never had any problems with the Wind Waker control scheme?!

Also, for the same price as a Wii and TP I could get TP on the cube, a PS2 and about 5 games which I really wanna play and will easily see me through until the Wii has more than just one game which I deem as worth a go.

What do you guys think?

Sounds to me like you don't need a Wii at all, but really need a PSpoo.

Ok, new complication has arisen;

My flatmate at uni has a PS2 which he doesn't use and said I could have. So my PS2 need is satisfied save for the games.

Still, do I need a Wii right NOW just for ONE game which i could have on the cube?

Like I would say to anyone, is it REALLY only this game you want? Not Mario Lost Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Smash Bro's, + whatever else (I am not going to go thru an entire list

)

Are you sure on that? on a few game sites I wont name cause they are competitors, they mention they will be out around feb/mar time? a few gaming sites seem to confirm that, but to be fair I have only been looking in to the Wii a few days, so I could be wrong.

For me, the control method enhances the enjoyment of the game (compaired to other Zelda games that is).

Dont forget, that you will also be getting the sports pack... these will keep you amused for a long time.

Well that was a waste of a post wasn't it. Not helpful and a bit hostile.

The question isn't whether I want a Wii, but whether I need it now. I'm just bouncing ideas around because i'm not sure myself.

My second batch Wii may be ready tomorrow. I went in the store and they comfermed it.

Nice one. I've had mine preordered online for weeks but Nintendo shipped fewer than they said they would, so i'm still waiting. Can't help but feel like I wouldn't be having second thoughts if I'd got it when I was supposed to...

Seeing as your only interested in one game just get said game on the gamecube (which I assume you already have).

Get a wii later when

1) Its cheaper
2) There are actually games on it you want to play.

£200 + for a wii and zelda is a lot to pay when you can get the same game (bar the control system of which you stated you don't mind the original control system making this mute) for roughly £30 or so.

your defending yourself getting one though by putting up negative points like games not being out till end of Q1 so it sounds like youve already decided to me.
