How much do you get paid for gigs?

Just wondering how much the people in bands here are getting for gigs? £80 quid seems to be the norm for 40 mins for us, going up to £150 I think is the most we ever got for 1h 30m.

Starscream... I assume you're a cover band? Most bands I know get anything from barely covering petrol money to about £20-50 depending on the turnout/other band heirarchy. Only very rarely do unsigned bands in N.I. get over £100

The Scrub (ska band my mate is in) seem to get anything from £100-£500, depending on the location (travel costs) and the venue. There are seven of them though, so the money doesn't go very far.

We only play covers in pubs where they demand it, and then its usually a 50/50 split.

We've only got over £100 twice, and that was 1h30 sets

have done plenty of gigs for free, not going to turn down money if its for the taking though

Most pubs paid my pubby band around £200. Most we got was around £1800 for a private party. When I've played professionally it's usually been more, though.

I charge pubs £150 for my Elvis show, clubs and weddings I charge £250.

Same here - my band doesn't get less than £200, sometimes £250 and very rarely £300.
The amount of people in a band doesn't make a difference either and a trio will get just as much as a 7 piece.
A solo artist can get between £100 and £150 where a duo doesn't really add that much unless they are a top drawer.
When I was on the cabaret circuit and doing functions the money was silly and I used to feel guilty sometimes.
The most I ever got was £600 for a solo spot but that was Millennium night.
I'm fortunate to live in an area where even though its a dosshole it has an amazing amount of pubs/clubs that have live acts on and theres always somewhere for me to gig or go and watch bands.
All the pubs know what each other are paying for acts and theres only two pubs that actually charge on the door.
