How much do you spend on lunch?

I buy some cooked meats and make sandwiches every day. So at a guess, maybe about £10 a week (£6-7 on cooked meats,£1 loaf of bread, couple quid for salad/sauce)

I reckon I must spend £30 a week on lunches.
Probably £5 a day, then maybe a lunch out every couple of weeks at £10-15.

We have a microwave and fridge in the office as well so it would be much cheaper (and healthier given the number of times I go to Wasabi!) to make my own and bring it in - just never seem to get around to it.

Wasabi is dreadful, tastes of nothing and is just oil/fat + MSGs. I never understand why people go there more than once.

Not a massive amount recently. I used to eat 2 chicken breasts a day for lunch which meant going through £50 chicken a month. I've been trying out pulled pork salads/wraps which is really cheap. a 2kg pork shoulder joint is £6 and is enough for an entire week. Just slow cook it on the weekend and put into Tupperware.

Nothing; our work canteen is not free, but we are given £5/day on our cards to spend there. A cooked meal + pudding comes in at just under, it's pretty tasty too.

To buy a sandwich and drink at work is £2.75 + £1.50 = £4.25 :eek::eek::eek:

So I usually go to lidl and buy the sandwich for £1.29, take to work and leave it in the fridge. I then just get water from the chiller in the office.

:)

Most of what I spend on lunches is the drink. Bottle of Tropicana juice or a bottle of coke, depending on how healthy I'm feeling :p:p

I'd save over a fiver a week alone just using the office cooler like above.

Where can you buy a 2kg pork sholder for £6? I'll be going there tomorrow and I've got my lunch sorted next week :D

Normally about £10 a week I guess with homemade sandwiches and fruit, if I forget then it's usually a petrol station special so about £5 for the day.
