How much does Eve cost per month?

Touche, one thing that make me think what a bunch of grubby douche bags.

Still, atleast paying with the card makes them less than the timecode mark up's scam their constantly trying to push people toward:p

In the last few years my card has failed to bill atleast 7 or 8 times... each time im directed to get a gtc/plex in the short term. The day i fill the pockets of an isk buyer will be a cold day in hell.

hardly.
they billed in USD because it was better for them. then the EU said they had to charge VAT on every transaction THIS made it bad for them AND us also forced them to charge in euros.
tbh it buggered everyone over.

Yeah, a little money at first until you can make enough game money to pay for plexes, by that time your life is suffering. Three years later your wife has made you quit or you got rid of her.

I’ve been playing for 3.5yrs now.

I've wimped out and quit with my two accounts.

My girlfriend didn't understand my need to sit doing sunday ice mining ops with only a quick break for a rustlers burger.

May cost around £13 a month, but to get the nice stuff you will pay more .... Game Time Code for real cash and sell for isk. Most people have more than one account.

Not played this for ages, tried it a few years ago and spent days on it, loved it, so I'm just going to download the 14 day trial now and have another go, this time I might subscribe.

Never played Eve, always fanced a shot so giving the trial a go. Only thing very much putting me off is the hefty (well, I'd call it hefty for an mmo) subscription charge of £13~. Can this game be played casually? I know some people liken the game to crack, but in terms of actually playing it is capable of supporting a pop-on-pop-off style approach or do I need to dedicate 90% of my free time into getting anywhere?

thats the joy of eve
it REALLY IS possible to do that.
no grind. just do missions for some ISK (monies) then your away!

Sweet! Thanks :D

Also - one quick question, actually came back to edit my post, but anyway... dollars option is obviously the best route to take, can I buy 60 day time cards from US retailers for dollars (instead of the more expensive euro option) and that'll work fine?

Obligatory EVE learning curve picture :D

It's not really as bad as this makes out but it's certainly no pick up and play like WoW.

Nice pic :D

I mean more as a "jump on and play for 30 mins or an hour". I don't mind learning the game, pretty good in that regards, but I don't have/want the time to spend 20 hours a day on it.
