How much does it cost to repair rust?

Hi all,

I am wondering how much approx you guys think would be a reasonable cost for me to get a patch of rust fixed on the sill of a car which measures approx 10 x 20 cm in area?

A tough one here. It all depends on how bad the rust is. If it's just surface rust, then not much at all.

Have you looked into doing it yourself?

I spent £25 today at Halfords on bits to sort the rust out on my car. If it works, great... if not, it's off to the bodyshop.

Where abouts is the rust on your car?

it's on the sills, under the length of the car, its only bad next to the drivers side wheel.

I have looked into it yes, I understand you need to sand it down, treat the metal in some way, then go about trying to paint it as best you can.
