How much does screen quality bother you?

I've got some translucent blinds that let a lot of light in, but effectively diffuse it. The run rises opposite my windows too, so I get tho whole blast of sunlight with them open. But with them closed, the room is still really bright, and I can even use glass fronted monitors without glare! :D

I have a massive velux window right beside my monitor/desk that gets the sun from about 12 till the sun sets, which at this time of year is about 9pm :( Got a translucent blind atm and it is ok on cloudy days but it doesn't do a good job when the sky is clear so looking at getting a black out blind. It generally isn't a problem with bright content but any dark content is a big no.

TN (rather nore my own foot off) ips (OK if it has small amounts of glow) VA (preferred due to black levels) oled (the God of screen technology atm)

Any love for PLS??

I know it is essentially Samsung's "version" of IPS but I find colour reproduction to be superior to IPS, blacks are deeper and thusly contrast higher.

Had 3 PLS displays in my time and they far outweigh any IPS ones I've had my mits on.

I also find that IPS Glow is far less on on PLS screens and generally all round sharpness and contrast is only bettered by my Plasma TV.

Very briefly had a VA panel too and although I thought the black levels were superb on it the rest of the display was a bit 'meh' for me.

Prefer my IPS panel to my previous PLS panel (PB278Q), not that it was bad though. Picture quality matters a hell of a lot to me.

The only thing that matters with a monitor is screen quality in my eyes. If it can't even display somewhat accurate colors then it really isn't doing it's job.
