I'm looking at getting my website redesigned, it's ok at the moment but lacks imagery, and is a bit boring....

I can code it into XHTML/CSS myself but i'm useless with the actual design.

I'd need a homepage designed, and 1 internal page which I could use throughout.

How much would I be looking at paying someone?

Cheers.

For a completed contract (design + markup/css), somewhere between £200 and £500, depending on the designer. If you consider that the typical hourly rate should be somewhere between £20 and £50, then you can may be able to estimate how long you expect the work should take and thus how much you're willing to pay.

If you just want the concepts i.e. photoshop mockups, then maybe a few hours work - £100. Bear in mind that some designers will do mockups before starting the contract (a tender for work) which they may charge for or not. However, you may not use these without permission from the author, as it would be copyright infringement.

Any OCUK'ers willing to take on the challenge? :D
There may well be, but forum rules say you can't offer/request paid work on the forum; just sharing of information, helping the community out and whatnot, and no trading outside the MM too. Otherwise it all turns into a big messy jobs board, and there are other better places that provide that service.
