The micra (k11 1.0) needs a full service. In the 4 years I have owned it (dealer serviced it before we picked it up) it has done 12k and 2 years ago I changed the sparks, engine oil, air filter and oil filter. I then put on new pads + disks as they were nackered.

The cheapest quote I have had is £140, is this good?
Do I need the fuel filter, brake fluid or PAS fluid doing?
What about gearbox oil?

This is the first time I have used a garage for anything other than an MOT.
Thanks:)

EDIT: It has not got a cambelt so don't need to change that

hmm you do know services are usually yearly, do micras have long life servicing?

I would say you should change all the filters out: oil, fuel, pollen, air.

New oil obviously and i think if it hasn't been doen sicne you owned it the brake fluid should be done - £40-50.

Other than that the micra engien is bullet proof - my dads one went ot about 190k (1l) before finally giving up!

The car does a lowly mileage. Since the last service it has not even done 5k -I leave it at home while at uni.
I wasn't going to change the oil after a year when I had done about 2.5k:p If I was using it often I would do a yearly service.
Is that £40-50 on top of the regular service costs?

Any work done to the car has been done by me or by the dealer before I bought it.

The car has only done 31k, no rust underneath and the condition for its age is fantastic...I know its a micra but it gives me so few problems I cannot bring myself to swap it until I graduate.

I would have no idea how to do the fuel filter, engine oil or the break fluid.
I did the previous mini-service myself and used the haynes but I don't have much confidence in it as it says to change the engine oil every 4500 miles (which is obviously wrong).
