how much would i be looking at to have a logo i created improved? e.g. remade into vector and bit more detail.

i have tried scriptlance pricing at £30 for minimal work but scriptlance is so bad i gave up, but that could be down to my price being low?

also can anyone recommend a friend who would be interested in doing this?

the logo i made is on my site green clean solution. i'm after it a little more "fruity" so people understand it's slices of fruit.

one example i had made from scriptlance is here. the guy started but couldn't understand what i was saying so gave up leaving me with bascially what i want (though as a flat jpg file) without the fruit styling. i'd want it remade with layers so i can easily change colours for future ideas, and with fruit. i'd hope this was fairly simple but understand it's my logo and important for my company so worth a fair amount so people probably charge a high price. any ideas of what i'd be looking for cost wise? and where i can go to find someone?

You would need to apply some kind of texture to the areas so it looks like fruit. The tut posted seems like a good start.

£30 is extremely cheap

you know what they say "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys"

pay proper money and get the job done properly

99 designs is a great idea, but that will still need a good budget

thanks for the comments everyone. think i'll stick with my small logo for now and i'll have to save up then and get it done professionally, i like the idea of 99designs so have bookmarked it for later.

That kind of thing?

(I'm NOT a graphic designer)

edit: hah, beat again :o.

This. It doesn't reflect your company anyway...

it does as we use mostly lemon, lime and orange with our cleaning products. a circle with "pie" style cuts out of it is a nice simple idea imo to reflect that which can easily be embroided/printed and made small/large still look bascially the same :)

if we had a mop etc then we'd be no different to all cleaning companies, we are eco-friendly using only eco-friendly products etc and thats what i want to show off.

Yeah I got that after I browsed your site a bit more. However, I still think you could use a mark that illustrates the natural products but can also be used to reflect the cleaning part; and one that can also be resized down properly. As it stands, the mark fails because its unreadable in its main usage on the website.

How precious are you over that logo? I would like to do some mock ups for some alternatives if you don't mind? :)

go ahead, i'm open to a better logo if you feel you can do one to reflect what we do better :) i look forward to seeing your ideas.
