might have the chance to do some freelance SEO with an internet design house. I suppose it would be an hourly rate. What's a resonable figure?

depends what you're doing - "SEO" is so involved...depending on how much you choose to do for your client, it could be a full-time job: setting up a PPC campaign, link building, reporting, updating keywords, submitting/monitoring sites.

what sort of stuff are you going to be doing? for all of the above, i'd charge £1000 per month + 10% PPC commission charges

will be doing homepage customisation by the looks of it. To catch more keywords ... some people don't even consider keywords when a site gets built, so although they have a nice site no one can find it.

so, you'll be optimising alt, title and meta tags, as well as content to include keywords? i'd say charge what you charge for web design, assuming you charge an hourly rate
