How much should I be looking to pay for a 96-98 ford fiesta 1.25 ?

Girlfriend is dead set on one of these (or a rover 100 yuck) but prices seem all over the place from £600 up to £3000 for the same year / spec

(£600 ebay, 3k private)

Is there anything I **** look out for and check on these ?

Also while im at it, are there any used car places around ward end birmingham other than the fort car sales place ?

Nowhere near £3k.

I told Freefaller in his thread that I thought £1100 was a lot for a '98 with 90k on it.

south west a LOT more expensive especially on the fiestas... a good 97' fiesta 1.25 usually is about 1200-2100 down ere... stupid prices which people seem to pay :confused:
 
You'd have to be sectioned under the mental health act before you could offer an excuse for paying 2 grand for a 97 Fiesta.

Agreed.

Might be looking at these cars myself shortly. Possibility of the Ka being a write off :(
