A close friend of mine is at Uni and he obviously qualifies for the HE discount. I was thinking about getting him to buy me AppleCare for my iMac and my new Macbook which I should have tomorrow.

The only problem is, I don't know how much it is as I can't get on the HE store. It doesn't help that my mate is back home for the weekend either!

So would any delightful member be able to answer these two questions for me?

Thanks.

iMac - £109.28 (normally £139.00)
MacBook / MacBook Air / 13" MacBook Pro - £157.45 (normally £199.00)
15- or 17-inch MacBook Pro - £220.90 (normally £279.00)

Isn't it possible to get AppleCare off the bay for much much cheaper? For example you can get AppleCare for the 15" MacBook Pro for about £90.

They're typically imported from the US but they are worldwide warranties.

Yup, much cheaper. I bought mine for my Mac Pro when the dollar/pound price was 2/1 and I think I paid about sixty quid.

Just be very wary of con artist. Do a search for ebay applecare scam and read up before going ahead.
